behalf of the Board of Fire Commissioners and the fine members of this
organization, I would like to welcome you to our web site. I trust that
you will find this site educational, informative, and of value to you.
We welcome your comments, suggestions, ideas, and opinions on the use of
this site so that we can better serve YOU – the citizens of our
community.
As your fire chief, I am extremely humbled to have been selected to
begin serving this great agency as the Fire Chief and Chief Executive
Officer in October 2004. Since that time we have undertaken a number of
strategic initiatives designed to re-organize the agency to maximize our
effectiveness in the delivery of services to you, while maintaining your
trust as good stewards of the resources you have entrusted to us. We
are mindful, keeping our eye on the future and adjusting course as
necessary to be able to continue to meet your requests for service.
For almost 60 years the Fire District has operated as a municipal
corporation and a political subdivision of the State of Washington
providing services to a very diverse community and area. We are also a
diverse organization which relies on a dedicated group of members
comprised of volunteer, paid, part-paid, and residents, to make our high
performance team. The District is governed by an elected board of three
fire commissioners, each serving six year staggered terms. This
organization is committed to providing you with high quality cost
effective services in your time of need.
I am extremely proud of the fine women and men that make up this agency
and daily execute their responsibilities flawlessly to provide you – our
customer, with great services. They are your neighbors, friends, and
relatives, and they are actively involved in the community, outside of
their employment, to make this area a better place to work and live. I
sincerely appreciate your continued support and encouragement.
