Primary Responsibilities:

 

1.  Plan, organize, direct, ensure delivery, and evaluate training of current and new members.  Recommend the selection, retention, promotion, and removal of members through performance evaluations.

 

2.  Ensure training facilities and equipment are accounted for and are functioning properly.  Evaluate and recommend upgrading or modification of equipment and facilities related to the essential function of the position. 

 

3. Ensure accurate and timely record   keeping and data reporting.

 

4. Represent the District at meetings related to the function of the position.

 

5. Manages and provides supervision to assigned members.  Must be able to provide necessary guidance, evoke positive morale, motivate, and effectively manage assigned members.

 

6.  Responds to emergency incidents and maybe be responsible for emergency scene management functions before and after normal work hours using recognized standards and legal requirements as a guide. 

Spokane County Fire District 8 is currently recruiting for the position of:

Spokane County Fire District 8 is currently recruiting to fill the Training Manager-Division Chief position.  The Training Manager will be responsible for management and administrative functions of the Training Division, a major enterprise of the agency, inclusive of program management, delivery, and program and member performance evaluations.

This position will serve as a chief officer of the District and will routinely be responsible for emergency scene management functions.

 

Salary Range

$57,000– $ 64,000
