Spokane County Fire District 8 is governed by a three person Board of Fire Commissioners, each who is elected at large by the voters within the District to serve a six-year term. The Board meets monthly to direct the business needs of the District. Meeting dates and location are posted on this website and the Commissioners encourage the public to attend.

 

Greg Hesse

 

 

 

 

 

Commissioner Gregory Hesse began his service as a member of the Board of Fire Commissioners of District 8 in 2000, and was re-elected to the position in 2007. Greg retired from his employment with the City of Spokane Fire Department where he held numerous positions from firefighter to Fire Marshall. His background in city government and municipal services is of great value to Fire District 8.

Lee Boling

 

 

 

 

 

Commissioner Boling served Fire District 8 as Fire Commissioner from 1994 to 2000 and was again elected to the position in 2004. Lee brings a great deal of public safety experience to the Board through his many years as a trooper and sergeant with the Washington State Patrol, and his years as a volunteer firefighter and investigator for Fire District 8. He is currently employed by the Washington State Liquor Control Board.

Dennis Ross

 

  

  

 

 

 

Commissioner Dennis Ross was appointed to the Board of Fire Commissioners in November, 2009, to fill an unexpired term on the Board.  He brings over eleven years of volunteer firefighting and EMS experience to the District.  As a former business owner, and currently as Vice President of Retail Operations for Aslin Finch Company, Dennis shares a broad background in business as well.
