Commissioners

Spokane County Fire District 8 is governed by a three person Board of Fire Commissioners, each who is elected at large by the voters within the District to serve a six-year term. The Board meets monthly to direct the business needs of the District. Meeting dates and location are posted on this website and the Commissioners encourage the public to attend.

Commissioner Gregory A. Hesse ghesse@scfd8.org      Commissioner Hesse began his service as a member of the Board of Fire Commissioners of District 8 in 2000, and was re-elected to the position in 2007. Greg retired from his employment with the City of Spokane Fire Department where he held numerous positions from firefighter to Fire Marshall. His background in city government and municipal services is of great value to Fire District 8.
Commissioner Lee C. Boling lboling@scfd8.org     Commissioner Boling served Fire District 8 as Fire Commissioner from 1994 to 2000 and was again elected to the position in 2004. Lee brings a great deal of public safety experience to the Board through his many years as a trooper and sergeant with the Washington State Patrol, and his years as a volunteer firefighter and investigator for Fire District 8. He is currently employed by the Washington State Liquor Control Board.
Commissioner Jonathan Ferraiuolo jferraiuolo@scfd8.org     Commissioner Ferraiuolo was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board in 2006 and was subsequently elected to his position on the Board of Fire Commissioners in 2008. Jonathan is a principal in a variety of companies and organizations. He has a Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration degree and is an adjunct faculty member at Gonzaga University's Business School.  Jonathan is a member of numerous charitable, non-profit, business and professional boards and brings a well-rounded base of business, organizational, and leadership knowledge to Fire District 8.
