Station 82 is located in Valleyford on the Palouse Highway and serves as the Administrative Offices and headquarters for Fire District 8. The offices for the Fire Chief, Chief Staff, and Administration are located at this facility. Full-time career firefighters staff the station on a three-shift rotation. Supplemental response is provided by volunteer members and resident firefighters. Station 82 serves a mix of small commercial, residential and dry land farms in Valleyford, Freeman and Mica. The Station 82 response area has no fire hydrants and relies on water tender operations.  This station provides secondary response to Stations 81 and 84.
