9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

 Twelve members of District 8 participated in teams of three to complete the Spokane 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Bank of America Financial Center on Sunday, September 11, 2011.  Each participant climbed an equal to 110 flights – the same number as the World Trade Center and Towers, and carried the photograph of a climber who lost their life on September 11, 2001. All proceeds from the stair climb went to support the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation which leads a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters and provides resources to assist families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty.
