District Training Links

The Spokane County Fire District 8 Training Division is headed up by the Training Chief.  The training program provides hands-on and classroom training for firefighters in the District.

Firefighters have an opportunity to perform live training at the Valleyford, Washington training facility.

Training in the use of specialty tools like the vehicle extrication equipment.

Fire District 8 has a three story training tower that is used for search and rescue training, ladder drills, hose drill and rescue operations.

The District sponsors many special trainings to keep local firefighters informed on special operations. Other local Districts are invited to attend.

Firefighters get to experience live fire training when abandoned buildings are donated.  Live fire training is vital to the firefighters training.

Firefighters often get an opportunity to train at other local training facilities.
