HELP YOUR COMMUNITY
Fire District 8 offers a progressive, challenging
and fulfilling opportunity in the fire service. The volunteer
firefighter is an integral part of the Districts response team. In
addition to career and resident firefighters,
Volunteers provide supplemental staffing and response to emergency
incidents.
Serving the community as a Volunteer Firefighter gives one the
opportunity to provide needed aid to neighbors in time of need. |

|
 |
EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Structure fires, wildland fires, vehicle collisions,
medical aid and hazardous materials incidents are just a few of the
types of calls a volunteer will respond to. |

ground operations and compliance with WISHA and OSHA standards. The new
volunteer will be scheduled to attend approximately 266 hours of
training beginning with a 92 hour training academy program. |
